Description

Oude Geuze Villa Servais is a limited edition geuze made of young lambics and 3-year-old lambics from smaller casks (adding more wood flavours), in collaboration with Villa Servais, a historic villa in Halle, Belgium, protected by architectural heritage. Maud Leschevin and Geert De Poorter from Villa Servais helped selecting the lambics used in this blend, which is then sold at the villa.

Bottled in 75cl at 7% ABV

History / Side-Notes

Villa Servais was built in 1847 by architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar for the famous 19th-century cellist François (Adrien-François) Servais. Maud Leschevin and Geert De Poorter are local art lovers who are actively working on restoring the place, which is now used as an Airbnb, concert venue and for cultural meetings.

Part of the profit of this beer goes to Villa Servais to help the restoration process.

So far, the beer has been brewed in 2021 and 2024 (bottled February 22). The second bottling was released in November 2025 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of VIlla Servais (Ambreus and Den Herberg also created a special blend for the occasion) and the lambic selection was made by Frank and Jos Boon. 15% Lambic is from foeder no. 48, and 15% from foeder no. 145. 15% comes from foeder no. 75, which was built in Antwerp in 1890. 55% Lambic is from foeder no. 68, and this foeder is also more than 125 years old.
