Toer de Geuze: Difference between revisions

Toer de Geuze is a biannual event happening in odd-numbered years in which many of [[HORAL#Members|HORAL member breweries]] open their doors to the public for tours and tastings.  It is generally organized in the Spring.

The first Toer de Geuze took place in 1997 when [[Brouwerij_Boon|Boon]], [[De_Cam_Geuzestekerij|De Cam]], [[Brouwerij_Lindemans|Lindemans]], [[Brouwerij_De_Troch|De Troch]], [[Brouwerij_3_Fonteinen|3 Fonteinen]], and [[Brouwerij_Timmermans|Timmermans]] openened their doors to the public.  Toer de Geuze is now one of the largest lambic-centered events in the Pajottenland. Charter buses now run specific routes to take attendees to the different breweries, and a riding tour of the Pajottenland takes place in concurrence with the Toer de Geuze. Every HORAL member does not participate and the participating breweries can vary year to year.   

In 2009, the eight participating breweries were 3 Fonteinen, Boon, De Cam, De Troch [[Hanssens_Artisanaal_bvba|Hanssens]], Lindemans, [[Brouwerij_Oud_Beersel|Oud Beersel]] and Timmermans.

In 2011 the eight participating brewerires were 3 Fonteinen, Boon, De Cam, De Troch, Hanssens, Lindemans, Oud Beersel, and Timmermans.
